If you need to replace your watch battery, you should note that Silver Oxide button cell batteries provide a slightly different voltage than other button cells of the same size. It is therefore important to pick the exact specified battery for your watch, and not use a lithium equivalent for example, unless specified.

Precision timepieces need the correct watch batteries to function properly and avoid damage. Using the wrong battery can damage a watch; or result in it running fast or slow.
